Instructor

Growing up in Louisiana, Elizabeth Cottle graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy. She began teaching independently in Louisiana in 2008, and her studio, then Cottle Piano Studio, quickly grew!

In 2019, Elizabeth, along with her husband Garrett and their two boys, moved to Columbus, Georgia. A new location was the perfect opportunity for a new name that reflects Elizabeth's teaching philosophy and vision - to give students a strong foundation in music understanding from the very beginning!

A note from Mrs. Elizabeth:

A few years ago, I discovered Music Learning Theory and Dr. Gordon's research, and it was truly a life-changing moment in my career! Here was an evidence-based approach to teaching music with true understanding (not just how to read or decode music), in a natural and developmentally appropriate way. I am so excited to apply this method to my teaching, and to give my students these wonderful tools that will allow them to have a lifetime of enjoying and understanding music!
